Our green wedding didn't cost the earth

Jessica and Joe

Just married - Jessica and Joe

Jessica and Joe Randall-Carrick married in St George’s church, Holborn, London, in January 2007.

They were concerned about how the things we buy can impact on human wellbeing globally and had already committed to making Fairtrade, organic and ‘green’ choices in their overall lifestyle.

When it came to their wedding, their mantra was 'Reduce, Re-use, Recycle' for each decision they made.

Since greener weddings tend to cost less, Jessica still managed to splash out a little. “My treat was my tiara,” she said. It was made in the UK and cost the same amount as my dress! It was lovely, and its creator was obviously being paid a fair price!”

Read more about how Jessica and Joe’s ‘go-green’ tips saved money for them and their guests, as well as saving the environment.
